Cardinals Cruise Past Coast Guard by Nearly 20 Seconds to Begin Spring Dual-Racing Season - Fall to Tufts & Bates in Malden, Ephs in Worcester & Bantams in Kent

Defeating Coast Guard by a margin of 19>3 seconds, the Cardinals posted their third straight win over the Bears to open the northern portion of their dual-racing season. The action took place Tues., March 31 in New London, Conn. on the Thames River. The race was delayed three days due to inclement weather Sat., March 28. Representing Wesleyan in the varsity 8 boat, the only shell to take to the water in the make-up event, was the youthful crew of Remy Johnson '16, Ava Miller-Lewis '17, Emma Koramshahi '16, Annie Dade '16, Emma Halter '17, Emma Buford '16, Amanda Molitor '18 and Eva Frieden '15 with cox Brianne Wiemann '15. Thus only the cox and one rower were seniors with four juniors, two sophomores and a freshman on board. The Cardinals posted a time of 7:10.0 with Coast Guard coming through in 7:29.3.
