Cardinals Sweep Colby for Second NESCAC Win, Fall to Tufts and Middlebury

Traveling to Colby Sun., April 6 for their fourth NESCAC match of the year, the Cardinals returns with a solid 9-0 triumph and a 2-2 conference mark. Up next is a home match vs. Tufts Wed, April 9 before the week ends with a visit from Middlebury Sun., April 13. At Colby, #3 Olivia Koh '17 and #4 Anna Howard '14 (photo) were most impressive as neither yielded a game to their Mule rival. All singles matches were decided in straight sets with Grace Smith '14 facing the toughest challenge with a 7-5, 7-6 win. At #1, Clare DuBrin '15 posted a 6-2, 7-5 victory. The last two matches were shortened to pro sets, won by Jessica Seidman '16 at #5 (8-3) and Nicki Softness '14 at #6 (8-4).
