Foreign Language Teaching Assistants

Foreign Language Teaching Assistants (FLTAs) are non-degree seeking students who come to Wesleyan for one year to enhance our students' language learning experience. They are appointed through Wesleyan's language departments and work under the supervision of the language teaching faculty in those departments. We are extremely grateful to these visitors for their contribution to advancing the mission of the Fries Center for Global Studies (FCGS) in terms of language and intercultural learning. By bringing them together in a highly visible common space in Fisk, we hope to enhance their profile as a group and foster greater interaction between them and the Wesleyan student body. Further information can be found using the links below:

I am Spanish FLTA that was born in Galicia, in the north of Spain, where I spend my summers with my friends and family by the sea. I have just graduated in Advertising and Public Relations by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. I also have started specializing in Digital Marketing since I believe is very relevant in this new communicational era. Besides, I moved to UK in several times to continue study and work. My first experience was working in Liverpool, where I could travel around England and visit many new and emblematic places for me. Afterwards, I was living in Scotland as well, where I totally fell in love with the landscape, nature and people. I really likes traveling and meet new cultures and ways of thinking, that is why I decided to join Wesleyan University. I love hanging out with her friends in her free time and, before the pandemic issue, I used to attend many concerts and reach new events in order to discover new music and artists. Moreover, I really enjoy going to museums and appreciate that art knowledge that I has learnt back in college.
