2021 Study Abroad Fair

Wesleyan’s annual Study Abroad Fair has been redesigned into an entirely virtual format this year and will feature programs from around the world! The fair will take place online on Thursday, September 9 from 12pm-2pm.

About the Fair

This year's Study Abroad Fair will take place on Gather TownIn Gather Town, you will get to explore your study abroad options and meet with program representatives just as you would at an in-person fair. We hope that our use of Gather Town will make the virtual format a little more fair-like and fun!

How to Attend

You can access the Study Abroad Fair through this link starting on Thursday, September 9 at 12pm EST. The password request will be removed at the start of the fair and you will not need to provide a password to enter. The fair link will be open from 12-2pm EST on Thursday, September 9.

Before the Fair

Here are some ways to prepare for the fair on September 9 (not required to attend):

  • Attend First Steps
    First Steps overviews Wesleyan's policies for study abroad, program eligibility, the application process, and more. All students must attend a First Steps meeting before applying or meeting individually with an advisor. First Steps meetings are offered every half hour on MWF 10am-12pm and TuTh 2-4pm in the Office of Study Abroad (Fisk 201). Appointments are not necessary. 

  • Video: How to Choose a Study Abroad Program
    Overwhelmed by the number of study abroad opportunities available to you? In our "How to Choose a Study Abroad Program" panel, study abroad office staff will share suggestions for how to keep your academic and personal goals in mind when determining where and when to study abroad. You'll also hear from former study abroad students as they share their experience planning for study abroad and selecting a program. 

  • Video: Affording Study Abroad
    Interested in study abroad but anxious about the assumed costs? Turns out, it's a lot more affordable than you think. In this video, representatives from Wesleyan Office of Study Abroad, Financial Aid, and Resource Center to learn about financial aid, scholarships, and budgeting for your study abroad experience.
