7 College Virtual Study Away Fair

Wesleyan University is partnering with six peer institutions to conduct a virtual study away fair on September 23 from 3-6pm ESTNormally held on Andrus Field, Wesleyan’s annual study abroad fair has been redesigned into an entirely virtual format this year which will feature programs from around the world and within the United States. The 7 College Virtual Study Away Fair brings together all the information and resources you need to start planning your study away experience. 

Whether you are a first-year student, a sophomore deciding on a major, or a junior planning to study abroad next semester, this is a wonderful opportunity to meet representatives, faculty, and returned students virtually from the many study abroad programs available to Wesleyan students. Also featured at this year’s virtual fair: 

  • Topic panels w/ industry practitioners (Languages, STEM, Race & Racism Abroad, etc.) 
  • Live information sessions   
  • Study away virtual exhibit hall 
  • Information on funding opportunities 
  • Advising sessions 

A repeat of the fair will also be held on October 15 from 9am-12pm EST for students who are unable to attend on September 23.

Fair Registration

The fair, which will take place on a conference platform called Sched, will be open to students from the 7 Colleges only (Amherst College, Mount Holyoke College, Vassar College, Smith College, Wellesley College, Wesleyan University, and Williams College). 

Register now to attend the Virtual Study Away Fair on September 23 (registration form also found below). After you complete this form, you will be sent a link to register on Sched. Sending out Sched registration invitations is a manual process, so we appreciate your patience.

How to Choose a Study Abroad Program

Overwhelmed by the number of study abroad opportunities available to you? In our "How to Choose a Study Abroad Program" panel, study abroad office staff will share suggestions for how to keep your academic and personal goals in mind when determining where and when to study abroad. We will also describe how different study abroad program models can vary in regards to level of immersion, support services available on site, and overall program structure. Finally, you will have the opportunity to hear from former study abroad students as they share their experience planning for study abroad and selecting a program. 

Wesleyan's Introduction to the Virtual Study Away Fair
Wednesday, September 16 from 3-5pm EST

At Wesleyan's Introduction to the Virtual Study Away Fair on September 16, the Office of Study Abroad will discuss study abroad options and policies at Wesleyan as well as how to navigate the larger fair (3-4pm). Then we will have Zoom drop-ins for offices on campus that support our students through their study abroad journey (4-5pm).  

Affording Study Abroad
Wednesday, September 30 from 12-1pm EST 
Interested in study abroad but anxious about the assumed costs? Turns out, it's a lot more affordable than you think. Join representatives from the Wesleyan Office of Study Abroad, Financial Aid, and Resource Center to learn about financial aid, scholarships, and budgeting for your study abroad experience. Come with questions, leave with answers.
