The Fries Center for Global Studies provides Wesleyan undergraduates with the opportunity to study in any area of the world.  Students may choose to participate on a Wesleyan-run program (see "Wesleyan Programs").  They may choose from any of the other programs vetted by our office and included on our "pre-approved" list.  Alternatively, students with special needs may seek ad hoc approval for a different program through our petition process.

While studying abroad, students are officially enrolled at Wesleyan and they make normal progress toward graduation. Recipients may apply their financial aid for semester and year-long programs when studying under the auspices of the FCGS. On average, nearly 50% of the Wesleyan student body spends a semester or year abroad.
