For Faculty
Check out our trailer!
In addition to our direct student services, the Presentation Studio offers several opportunities for faculty to integrate workshops or other content into their classes. To request a classroom visit or workshop, please reach out to presentations@wesleyan.edu! We are regularly developing new workshops, so if you do not see a suitable option here, do not hesitate to request it. We are also available to visit your class for a few minutes to talk about the Studio itself.
Examples of Currently Available Workshops
- Storytelling: How to Engage an Audience
- Visual Design: Crafting Quality Slides
- How to Communicate Science to the Public
- Developing a Winning Conference Poster
- College-Ready Presentation Skills
- Designing Charts and Tables for Clarity and Engagement
The CPI can also work with you directly to develop high-quality presentation assignments, including prompts and grading rubrics. We can help you think of framing a presentation assignment similar to a paper, promoting the "grammar" and design expecations. Here is an example of a rubric developed by Natalia Roman Alicea for the Global Engagement Minor capstone in Spring 2021 that might help guide your approach!
