The Institute for Curatorial Practice in Performance (ICPP) is a post-graduate program designed for arts professionals to investigate curatorial issues in the performing arts. ICPP offers a low-residency 2-year Masters Program.

The summer intensive, July 12-28, 2019, is the core of the program. For two weeks, students interact with faculty and guest artists and study artistic and curatorial practices, the social and cultural context of performance, and entrepreneurial strategies. The summer intensive is followed by two long-weekend intensives: November 7-11, 2019 and February 27-March 1, 2020. This position has the potential to run throughout the school year and to also assist on programming for the Zilkha and CEAS (Center for East Asian Studies) gallery.

Duties include logistical planning and facilitation of the intensives, creating academic packets for incoming students, serving as the course assistant to faculty and guest lecturers, following through on administrative and research assignments, and attending and providing technical assistance during classes. When programs are not in session, the intern may also have the opportunity to manage course Moodle pages and provides support with distance-learning to faculty and students. The intern is also responsible for cataloging materials for the ICPP archives and will take on other special projects as assigned. The intern is invited to attend all performances, lectures, talks, and meals outside of class times.

Department Hours: M-F 9am-5pm, plus evenings and weekends during Intensives Hours/Week: 30 hours/week in June, 30-40 hours/week in July

Time Period: May/June-end of July with possibility of continuing part time for full year
