During her illustrious Wesleyan career, Barbara-Jan has raised nearly $1 billion for the Red and Black. What better way to honor her legacy than to raise money for Wesleyan! Here is what she cares about most based on the positions she has held.

FINANCIAL AID ENDOWMENT

DEAN OF ADMISSION & FINANCIAL AID (1990 - 1999)

Those who graduated from Wes between 1995 and 2003 may recall receiving an acceptance letter signed by Barbara-Jan. She understood that financial aid is critical in ensuring a diverse student body and has raised hundreds of millions of dollars toward this university priority. Trustee Emerita Ellen Jewett ’81 P’17 and Richard Kauffman P’17 created the Barbara-Jan Wilson Endowed Wesleyan Scholarship to thank Barbara-Jan for her service to Wes. You can build on their generosity by adding to this scholarship.

INTERNSHIPS

DIRECTOR OF CAREER PLANNING (1982 - 1990)

For many students today, learning to translate their liberal education into a lifetime of meaningful work begins soon after they first arrive on campus. Internships are a vital part of this process. But many internship positions are non-paying or include only a nominal salary. Wesleyan summer grants, which average $5,000, provide stipends toward living and travel expenses, as well as cover the summer earnings requirement for students on financial aid.

$100,000 -- Endow a Barbara-Jan Wilson Internship
$50,000 -- Join with a friend to endow a Barbara-Jan Wilson Internship ($50,000/each)

Any gift, at any level, for any purpose,
