Bottom of the Ninth

Barbara-Jan Wilson is retiring in December after a remarkable 36-year Wesleyan career during which she served as director of Career Planning (1982–1990), dean of Admission & Financial Aid (1990–1999), and Vice President for University Relations (1999–present).  Her extraordinary contributions to Wesleyan include leadership of the THIS IS WHY campaign that raised a record-breaking $482 million for Wesleyan.  As President Michael S. Roth ’78 said, “Her life’s work has been to help our university reach its full potential.  She doesn’t just say ‘Go Wes’—she makes Wesleyan go.”

We hope you’ll join us in celebrating Barbara-Jan -- an avid baseball fan and heavy-hitter known to ‘swing for the fences’ -- as she enters the bottom of the ninth in her winning Wesleyan career. Don’t miss the chance to share your fondest (or funniest!) memories, honor her with a donation or toast her at Wes events as Barbara-Jan ‘rounds the bases one final time!
