Chief Investment Officer, Wesleyan University
In 2010, Anne Martin became Wesleyan University’s Chief Investment Officer. She previously was a Director at the Yale Investments Office where she worked primarily on the Natural Resources and Private Equity portfolios. Prior to joining Yale, Anne worked as a general partner of private equity firm Rosewood Capital in San Francisco, California where she focused on Internet, software, and business service investments. Prior to that, Martin was a managing director at Alex. Brown (a/k/a BT Alex Brown) in its technology practice, where she worked on corporate finance and merger and acquisitions in the information technology sector. She is a graduate of Smith College, cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and holds an M.B.A. from Stanford Business School.
Anne was a co-founder, board member and Board Chair of the Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins, an innovative non-profit organization dedicated to finding therapies for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (alscenter.org). She was part of the national rowing team from 1985-1988 and has also served as a director and co-Chair of the National Rowing Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to preparing the next generation of U.S. rowers for the highest levels of international competition (natrowing.org). Anne also serves on the investment committee for Smith College.
Jason Raiti joined Wesleyan University in September 2011 as an Associate and his primary responsibilities include marketable and real estate managers. He was previously a senior research analyst at Fund Evaluation Group (FEG), an institutional investment consulting firm that advises endowment and foundation clients. While at FEG, Jason was a member of the hedge fund team responsible for the oversight of approximately $2 billion in direct hedge fund and fund of fund investments. Prior to joining FEG’s hedge fund group, Jason worked as a research analyst covering real estate and commodities. He also served as a consulting analyst at FEG, supporting senior consultants with performance reporting, asset allocation studies, and manager searches. Prior to FEG, Jason worked for Marcus and Millichap as a commercial real estate analyst. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College and is a CFA and CAIA charterholder.
Head of Operations and Investment Associate
Brett joined the Investments Office in November 2005. His responsibilities include monitoring and verifying third party investment performance reporting, managing operational activities, and assisting in manager due diligence. Brett also acts as a liaison with the University’s Office of Finance and Administration, auditors, custodians, and external counsel. Prior to joining Wesleyan, Brett held investment accounting, audit, and treasury positions at Phoenix Investment Partners, Cigna, ING, and Aeltus Investment Management. Brett graduated with a B.S. in Finance from Quinnipiac University. He received an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Hartford.
Iain York joined the Investments Office in 2010. Prior to joining the investment team, Iain spent 15 years as a film executive and screenwriter. As a former Vice President of European Productions for Miramax Films, Iain was a member of the London Miramax team overseeing production and acquisition in Europe. He holds a BA from the Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. Iain has completed all three levels of the CFA program.
Doris Zhao joined the Investments Office in 2013 after she graduated from Yale College with a Bachelor of Arts in Ethics, Politics, and Economics.
