Advanced Placement Credit Information

Students with a score of 4 or 5 may place out of one of the two Introductory Biology Courses (BIOL 181/191 or BIOL 182/192) but must first consult with an instructor teaching these courses.

Students interested in placing out of MB&B/BIOL 181 in the fall semester should contact Professor Michelle Murolo ( regarding the placement exam.

These courses are considered essential preparation for our upper level courses; students are highly encouraged to enroll in both semesters.

Prospective MB&B majors with a score of 4 or 5 in AP Chemistry must meet the Chemistry Department requirements for advanced placement credit.

Students must consult a Health Professions advisor after placing out of a course. The Health Professions advisor will draft a letter to be included with official transcript.
