The Office of Financial Aid at Wesleyan University is committed to enabling the best qualified students to attend, regardless of the family's financial circumstances. Accordingly, Wesleyan's financial aid program awards assistance solely on the basis of financial need.

  • Student Employment

    The Student Employment Office is committed to giving students the opportunity to satisfy the work-study component of their financial aid package. In addition, we endeavor to assist students that are not eligible for work-study to gain employment.

Student Accounts

  • Student Account Center & Authorized Participants

    The Student Account Center is where students and authorized participants login to view real-time account activity, view and print billing statements & make online payments. To access the Student Account Center log into WesPortal. Once logged in follow this path: Offices & Services>Financial Aid & Student Accounts>Student Account Center.
  • E-Billing & Making Payments

    The fall semester e-bill due date is Tuesday, August 13. The deadline to provide proof of health insurance is August 12. An e-mail is sent to your Wesleyan email address and any Authorized Participants you’ve provided access to every time a new E-Bill is made available. To view your E-Bill log onto the Student Account Center via WesPortal. Authorized Participants with their own account access will login at www.wesleyan.afford.com.

  • Monthly Payment Plan Option

    Enrollment in an interest free, 5 month payment plan is available each semester. The plan opens in July and payments begin August 1. To enroll log onto the Student Account Center via WesPortal and click on “Payment Plan” in the menu bar. Authorized Participants enroll here: www.wesleyan.afford.com or call 800.205.4561.
  • Health Insurance Requirement

    The University requires all students to maintain health insurance that is comparable to the university sponsored plan. To show proof of insurance and avoid the annual university sponsored health insurance charge or to enroll in the university sponsored health insurance program please visit www.wesleyan.edu/healthservices/insurance. The deadline to provide annual proof of insurance and avoid the university sponsored health insurance charge is August 12.
