What You Need to Know

New Student Orientation is a comprehensive introduction to Wesleyan University. Orientation is required for all first-year and new transfer students in order to be fully enrolled into the University.

What You Need to Know About Orientation:
  • New students should plan to arrive to campus on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.  Move in will take place between 8:30am and 1pm.  Families may depart by 5pm.  Specific questions regarding international student orientation, travel, and visa requirements should be directed to iso@wesleyan.edu. All other questions regarding the orientation program or campus life may be directed to orientation@wesleyan.edu.
  • The first message in mid June will include the credentials for your Wesleyan email account. You will receive weekly notes on Wednesdays from your class dean and orientation email updates throughout the summer.
  • Be sure to check your Wesleyan account regularly or set up email forwarding to your primary email address so you do not miss important messages.
  • As of July 2023, information will ONLY be sent to your Wesleyan email address.
  • New Bachelor of Liberal Studies students should contact study@wesleyan.edu for more information about getting oriented at Wesleyan.
  • Students will access their "Orientation Path" via WesNest. Your Path will outline required events that you will receive "credit" for upon completion.  Students who do not have 100% completion of the required items in their Orientation Path will be referred to the Dean's Office.
