For Parents of New Students
As a parent of a new Wesleyan student we welcome you to the Wesleyan community! You and your student will begin to hear more often from Wesleyan later in the spring and throughout the summer. In the meantime should you need any assistance please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We know that many parents of new students are eager to learn about Arrival Day and Orientation activities. Most new students should plan to arrive on campus on Wednesday, August 31. (If your student is an athlete participating in a fall sport, they should contact their coach as some fall athletes will be asked to arrive a few days earlier.) Parents are invited to New Student Arrival Day as well. There are optional parent workshops to attend in the afternoon and an opportunity to hear from President Roth. Orientation activities will officially begin on August 31 and parents are invited to depart campus around 5 PM.
The Office of Parent Programs maintains a resource list of current parents of Wesleyan students who are willing to be contacted by parents of propsective and new Wesleyan students. If you would like to gain the parent perspective please contact our office and we will provide you with that contact information.
Parents of new students will be receive a package of information in June from the Office of Parent Programs which will include information about New Student Arrival Day, Family Weekend and the Parents Handbook.
