79 Lawn Ave
Program House
Currently, 79 Lawn is home to Japanese House. The mission of Japanese House is to inspire and deepen interest in the Japanese language and culture and to provide opportunities for those who are interested in sharing their knowledge with the larger Wesleyan community. Japanese House will not be a housing option for 2026-2027.
Beginning in the fall of 2026, 79 Lawn will be home to Full House. Full House allows members of the Wesleyan community to indulge their inner foodie and is a place for anyone who loves food or is interested in the independence of preparing their own food. The goals of Full House are to provide a place for Wesleyan students who enjoy cooking and baking to meet and learn from each other, cook together, and live together. Full House seeks to further expand their knowledge of different types of cuisine and to foster a sense of community through the bonding power of food.
Full House, like all program houses, are an option for any upper-class student interested in applying.
Please note that while the programmatic community at 79 Lawn will change, the room types and floor plan will not. Please utilize the floor plans linked on this page when making decisions regarding housing selection for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Lead Paint Disclosure
Housing built before 1978 may contain lead-based paint. Lead from paint, paint chips, and dust can pose health hazards if not taken care of properly. Lead exposure is especially harmful to young children and pregnant women. Before renting pre-1978 housing, landlords must disclose the presence of known lead-based paint and lead-based paint hazards in the dwelling. Tenants must also receive a Federally approved pamphlet on lead poisoning prevention. The pamphlet may be viewed at: The University recognizes that any housing built prior to 1978 may contain lead-based paint and/or lead-based paint hazards. By accepting your housing contract, you are affirming that you have reviewed the pamphlet Protect Your Family from Lead In Your Home.
All Wesleyan housing was built before 1978 with the exception of the following: Bennet Hall, Fauver Apartments, 19 Fountain Avenue, 20 Fountain Avenue, 25 Fountain Avenue, 231 Pine Street, and 14 Warren Street.
