While this transition can pose challenges, one of those challenges during this time is also building and establishing new relationships while still going through your own changes. Making Connections: Growing & Nurturing Relationships Thursday, September 5, 2019 12:15 PM 1:15 PM Allbritton 311 The first of a three-part series over lunch, this session one we will identify and explore different relationship types and how they can be experienced differently. At the same time we will explore commonalities across all relationship types and what each of them look and feel like. Join us to continue the conversation on negotiating consent and boundaries, and self-care in the coming weeks! Each session is “drop-in” attendance, and all students are welcome to attend one or all sessions. Lunch will be provided!

Bach to School Friday, September 6, 2019 8:00 PM 9:30 PM Memorial Chapel At the tenth annual opening of the Wesleyan concert calendar, "Bach to School," Artist in Residence Emeritus Ronald Ebrecht will perform a work by Johann Sebastian Bach and introduce new University Organist Alcee Chriss. The concert will also feature a reprise of the work "of architecture and accumulation" for eight wine glasses and organ by Chair of the Music Department and Associate Professor Paula Matthusen.

We Speak We Stand Bystander Intervention Training 101 Saturday, September 7, 2019 1:00 PM 3:00 PM Usdan 108, Usdan Universiy Center WE Speak, WE Stand aims to create a community that is actively engaged in the prevention of sexual assault, relationship violence and advocates for the responsible use of alcohol. The goal of the program is to empower bystanders to intervene in high risk situations involving alcohol use, sexual assault and relationship violence. Empowered bystanders make the campus community safer by standing up and speaking out when they witness situations that could potentially harm the health and safety of others.
