Student Engagement

Wesleyan has nearly 20 student groups that advance sustainability efforts on campus, in the community, and around the world.

Sustainability Office Internships

The Wesleyan Sustainability Office offers internships for students wanting to promote sustainability on campus. Meet the growing group of Office alumni, too.

Eco Facilitators

The Eco Facilitators are peer-to-peer sustainability educators who promote sustainable actions on campus. EFs are part of a three-semester program managed by the Sustainability Office that includes a student forum designed to equip them with the tools and skills to collaborate with students to encourage behavior changes.  The 16 EFs are in Bennet, Clark, 200 Church, Writer's Block, WestCo, Nics, Butterfield A, Butterfield B, and Butterfield C.  Contact with questions about the program.  New Eco Facilitators are hired each November.

Wesleyan Green Fund

The student-run Wesleyan Green Fund supports campus sustainability projects through a $15 per semester opt-out fee on all undergraduate students.  The Fund accepts student, faculty, and staff proposals and chooses projects based on their ability to make Wesleyan a more sustainable place. The Fund’s members work with project applicants to tailor projects and provide financial and managerial support.
