Szegedy-Maszak curates Exhibition at Zilkha Gallery
Prof. Andy Szegedy-Maszak curated an exhibition at Wesleyan's Zilkha Gallery in Fall 2019, titled Urban Space, Roman Couture, and A Living Past: Views of Pompeii, and Pantheon. The show featured contemporary photographs of Pompeii by photographer William Wylie and imaginary photographic tableaux by digital artist Marc Erwin Babej. The exhibit brought both artists to campus for a discussion about their works which speak to im/permanence, changing cultural narratives, and the power of Rome in modern imagination.
