Legislative Leave
Employees may take a leave of absence to perform duties as a candidate, member-elect, or member of the General Assembly. The University will not terminate or otherwise discriminate against an employee who requests or obtains leave under this policy.
Employees will not lose seniority due to the leave, and will be provided a choice of shifts to accommodate the leave.
Time off under this policy will be unpaid, except that exempt employees may receive compensation, as required by applicable law.
