Listening Stations & Viewing Rooms

The library provides spaces for students and faculty to use our music and video collections on campus, as well as the technology needed to engage these materials.

  • Listening Stations

The Music Library in Olin Library houses individual listening carrels, which include facilities for playing CDs, cassette tapes, and LPs. Recording facilities are not available for individual use. Headphones can be checked out at the service window of the Music Library office with a Wesleyan ID or a driver's license. CDs are also checked out here. IDs are held while materials are being used at the listening stations.

  • Viewing Rooms

A video viewing room is available for individual use on the first floor of the Science Library. Students interested in watching a film as a group are able to request that technology be moved to a larger group study room.

To reserve the video viewing room, contact Linda Hurteau.
