Bio: Jennie grew up all around Asia in Hong Kong, South Korea, and Japan, experiencing both international and local communities in her time there. She is passionate about advocating for financial equity, and is pursuing this passion through antitrust and technology law and investing. In her free time, she enjoys writing, spending time with friends, drinking oat milk lattes, and updating her foodstagram!

Bio: Jiahong grew up in Shenzhen and Toronto, so he loves the rainy weather that Wes has. He has seven cats and one dog and he is extremely passionate about cats, so feel free to show him your cats' photos. He is also very passionate about environmental justice and queer rights. During his free time, Jiahong enjoys cooking for his friends as the food choices here are not so diverse. On campus, you can spot him working in ITS or doing grocery shopping at Weshop.

Bio: I grew up in Hong Kong, Thailand, England, Switzerland and most recently, Dubai. Despite being an American by nationality, I had never lived in the United States (in so far as being old enough to remember it) before coming to Wes, and I identify heavily with many of the components of culture shock that one can face when moving to a completely new country and a small community like Wesleyan. On campus, you can find me working in the Admissions Office, getting coffee anywhere that it is offered, and showing my friends photos of my cats.

Bio: David, just like the delicious Usdan bananas, is a proud Guatemalan export. He is still undecided on his major but is a big fan of both government and hispanic literature. On campus you can usually find him stunned, staring at the gorgeous fall leaves he's seeing for the first time, playing pick up and intramural sports, or blasting Eladio Carrion on his way to class. David joined ISAB to ensure that his international peers have as good of an experience as he has had so far. Go Wes!

Bio: I grew up in Athens, Greece which I feel is a big part of who I am. Even though I'm not a music major I have taken more music classes than Psychology and Philosophy classes. I always love finding people who are passionate about music. During my free time I write and compose music, spend time with my friends, and love talking about any type of philosophical topics, life and the relationship between people.

Bio: Veronica grew up in the US, Chile, Panama, and Germany. At Wesleyan, Veronica is a prospective Anthropology and Spanish double major. She is also interested in math and language as well as how identities and communities are formed. Outside of class, she loves listening to music, drinking tea, and baking!

Bio: Erin mostly grew up in South Korea, where she developed a fierce love for spicy foods. She is passionate about Korean politics, especially surrounding gender equality and queer rights. During her free time, Erin likes to cook, knit/crochet, watch film, and fangirl over K-pop girl groups. On campus, you can spot her working at ITS or cramming code over a Pi Cafe latte.

Bio: Mishaa was born in Mumbai, India but grew up in Manila, Philippines. She has also lived in Singapore for a few years and has only gone to international schools her whole life. She is passionate about art and likes to paint and draw in her free time. She also loves reading and playing sports - she has played tennis since she was three and basketball since she was ten. On campus, you can find her getting lunch at Usdan and occasionally studying outside Pi!

Bio: Anh was born in Hanoi, Vietnam but has spent most of her life living abroad in Malaysia and briefly in the United States. She is passionate about education inequality and has been a volunteer teacher since 4th grade. Anh enjoys trying any and all Usdan desserts, being outdoors, and sending animal pictures to her brothers. She hopes to support other international students to feel as welcome at Wes as she does.

Bio: Nirvaan grew up in Hyderabad, India, surrounded by a lot of different cultures and people. Nirvaan is passionate about queer rights, research on queer identity development, and on campus is involved with KDC and Shakti. In his free time, he likes to draw, swim, and send pictures of his dog to anyone who asks.

Bio: Tihitina grew up in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She is passionate about healthcare and enjoys spending time with children. In her free time Tihitina likes writing poems, trying new foods and playing the Kirar (a traditional Ethiopian instrument). On campus you can find her sitting on one of the benches around the chapel or somewhere in Exley.

Bio: Mallika grew up in South India and Minnesota, having lived both internationally and domestically. She currently majors in Government and Latin American Studies, and is minoring in Data Analysis. She is passionate about social justice advocacy as well as contributing to an inclusive and strengthened South Asian community on campus. In her free time, she likes to play Minecraft, relax with her orange cat on campus, and go to estate sales.

Bio: Holiness was born and raised in Bujumbura, Burundi. She is passionate about cardiac surgery and human rights, and she hopes to be involved in a healthcare career. In her free time, she likes to talk to people, write poetry, and dance (that's how she deals with stress, dancing is the first option and it works really well).

Bio: Rania was born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She's a sophomore transfer student and she's passionate about government, history, and politics. In her spare time, she loves reading, playing instruments, and café hopping in Connecticut! On campus, you can find her studying in Sci Li or getting coffee at Pi.
