The chief of staff and director of strategic planning contributes to strategic discussions and planning, works in concert with members of the senior leadership team, serves as a liaison between the president and other administrative staff, and works with Board members and external community members to drive strategic partnerships and innovation initiatives.

Biography
Anne joined Wesleyan in 2015 as the business career advisor at the Gordon Career Center. Prior to arriving at Wesleyan, Anne was a manager in Information Services and Analytics at Cigna. She has also worked as a senior analyst in the Market Research and Competitive Intelligence division of Independence Blue Cross and as an economic consultant for IHS Global Insight, now IHS Markit. Anne graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Hamilton College with a double major in Mathematics and Economics. She received her MBA from the Yale School of Management.

The university editor serves as a resource to the president and senior staff in editing and preparing documents and correspondence as well as advising on issues of strategic importance.

Biography
Charles Salas received his BA from UC Berkeley, MA from Wesleyan (history), and PhD in history from the Claremont Graduate University. An intellectual historian with a focus on the cultural and political legacies of the classical period, he has published in a wide variety of areas, including precalculus mathematics, the history of science, the philosophy of history, cultural history, historiography, and the history of art. Prior coming to Wesleyan, he worked at the Getty in Los Angeles where he was head of research and education at the Getty Research Institute.
