Honoring the Legacy

To the FGLI students in the graduating class of 2022: We celebrate and honor your legacy!  We are proud of how much you have accomplished for yourselves, for your families, and us all. You are invited to the 2nd annual Honoring the Legacy event (RSVP link) to celebrate graduating FGLI seniors.

The event will take place in the Labyrinth Tent located behind 281 and 287 High Street and the Skull and Serpent Society building.  The Socioeconomic Status and Disability interns in The Resource Center created this event to celebrate the graduating FGLI community at Wesleyan. During the event the FGLI seniors will receive a free lunch, customized graduation swag, and well wishes from each other and the Wesleyan community.

To everyone who have friends and connections to the FGLI students in the class of 2022, please help us celebrate them by submitting your best Wesleyan memories with the graduates and/or video recording a few words of congratulations (submission link), be it pictures or videos. The videos and pictures will be compiled together to form a post collage and video montage that will be displayed throughout the event. The submission deadline is May 16th at 5PM.

The Resource Center (RC) seeks to support, empower, and engage students with underrepresented identities at Wesleyan University. The center’s areas of focus include promoting dialogue and coalition building around the intersections of race, ethnicity, nationality, socioeconomic status, disability, gender, sexuality, sustainability, spirituality, and social and political activism.

Whether you want to reserve one of our homey meeting spaces, need help with a personal or organizational issue related to social differences, looking for employment opportunities, have a great program idea, want to promote some of the great work that you are already doing in the community, or just want to know what is happening in the center, please reach out to us!
