Wesleyan Math and Science Scholars (WesMaSS) is a program designed to support students with identities historically underrepresented in science and mathematics as they pursue degrees in these fields at Wesleyan. This program equips participants with the tools they need to get the most out of their first semesters of study, and empowers students to go on to advanced coursework, research, and graduate school or careers in these fields after graduation.

WesMaSS begins the summer immediately prior to a student’s first year at Wesleyan and includes…

  • Mentorship from faculty and peers
  • Academic strategy workshops
  • Special guest speakers
  • Access to research funds
  • Community social events

Through these initiatives and more, WesMaSS enriches students’ pathways through the sciences and mathematics at Wesleyan University.
