Fall Season is Not Over Yet!
I had more fun at Homecoming than a president should—thank you pep band for giving me a cowbell! And thanks to the team for letting me join in the celebration.
After that victory over Amherst, the Wesleyan football team staged an amazing comeback victory over Williams during their Homecoming.
Down by 14 points for much of the game, the Cardinals were led to an overtime victory by a strong defense and a record setting performance by quarterback Matt Fitzsimons '27. Matt was recognized for the second time with the NEFW Golden Helmet award. The team competes for the NESCAC crown this weekend on Andrus Field.
Our dominant volleyball team showed their stuff during Homecoming and rebounded from a tough loss against Tufts by grinding out a win against Bates. We will host the NESCAC tournament this coming weekend.
Men’s soccer had a last minute victory against Amherst in its NESCAC tournament game and will continue its season this weekend up in Massachusetts. And our mighty Field Hockey Team continues its historic season after a most impressive win over Williams last weekend. The Cards have been on an amazing roll, and we send our field hockey women all the best as they compete in the NESCAC semis.
Winter sports are getting underway, but don’t let that keep you from cheering on our all teams on campus this weekend.
