We Are Wesleyan

This Wednesday, February 11, is Wesleyan Giving Day. Its theme, “We Are Wesleyan,” highlights the power of our community—students, families, alumni, faculty, and staff—and the relationships built on campus and beyond.

These relationships are indeed what fuel our University. Relationships between students with limitless curiosity and scholars who love to teach. Relationships between alumni who stay connected with each other decades after graduating. Relationships between family members who share a common Cardinal pride.

Raising philanthropic support for Wesleyan is one of my favorite parts of being president because it demonstrates what this community can accomplish together. I talk to donors all the time who give back to honor the relationships they built here and to support the extraordinary students of today.

Everyone who joins in this Giving Day is a part of making our most ambitious fundraising initiative ever—This Is Not A Campaign. This Is Wesleyan—a success. It is the power of community in action. I hope you’ll join me in making a gift and celebrating that together, We Are Wesleyan.
