We Are Underway

We are underway! I met with my first class on Monday, and I can tell it’s going to be a lively semester.

Meanwhile, Wesleyan athletes have already been hard at work. There are the intense practices to be sure, and there have already been high voltage competitions. Yes, I am thinking of Volleyball’s thrilling weekend in New York against some top schools. Siena Steines ’28 is the NESCAC Player-of-the-Week.  And how about our soccer teams?! The men came from behind to win their opener against Springfield, and the women beat a nationally ranked Middlebury squad. Maria Utz ’27 had two goals in the impressive victory.

And in maybe the biggest news of all, the Men’s Cross Country Team won its first Little Three Championship since 1984!! Dylan Cote ’28 was once again a standout, winning the 6k race. And a glorious team effort.

Shows are being cast, books are being read, experiments are underway. The café in the new Casper Life Sciences Building is booming. Lola is patrolling Andrus Field…a great time to be a Cardinal!
