Marc A. Eisner

Eisner’s research addresses US political economy and public policy, with a focus on the dynamics of regulatory change. He is author or coauthor of nine books on topics ranging from the evolution of antitrust policy to the impact of war on statebuilding in the United States. His most recent book explores how regulatory design decisions and polarization combined to create problems of regulatory drift and a growing reliance on public-private partnerships and voluntary programs. His current research is on the political economy of the national debt.

Marc Eisner is Henry Merritt Wriston Chair of Public Policy at Wesleyan University.
