Faculty

The “ASL Champs” team is composed of the Course Assistants and Teaching Apprentices.

The Course Assistants assist faculty in their tasks and coordinate activities supporting the students’ learning. One of their tasks is to conduct the popular ASL Labs where students review material, practice their communication skills, and participate in engaging games to consolidate their skills. Eager students with the appropriate skills are encouraged to apply to work as Course Assistants.

Every semester, we actively seek motivated students for the Teaching Apprentice program. Students learn some concepts on teaching and participate in the courses with some hands-on practice under the guidance of faculty. They also coordinate with the Course Assistants in assisting faculty. This program is a great opportunity for students to hone their ASL skills and learn the basics about course design, development, and delivery.
