DRIVING:

From Hartford and points north:

Take I-91 south to Exit 22 for Route 9 southbound. At exit 15, turn right onto Route 66 West (Washington Street). Turn left onto Vine Street/Rte. 3. Event parking is located at the Vine Street Parking Lot.

From New Haven, New York and points south:

Take I-95 North to I-91 North. At exit 18, take Route 691/66 East. Route 66 becomes Washington Street in Middletown. Turn right onto Vine  Street/Rte. 3. Event parking is located at the Vine Street Parking Lot.

Important Notice: Access to Wesleyan University via Rte 66

According to the Connecticut DOT road construction on Washington Street (Route 66) between Bernie O’Rourke Drive and Plaza Drive is expected to cause heavy traffic delays weekdays between 6:00 am and 2:30 pm. Work is expected to continue for the next two years, except during the winter. Travelers from New Haven, New York and points south and from Waterbury and points west are encouraged to find alternate routes to Wesleyan via 91 Northbound to Route 9 Southbound. Or, take I-95 north to the Merritt/Wilbur Cross Parkway (Route 15 North) to Route 66 Eastbound. Turn right onto Vine Street/Rte. 3. Event parking is located at the Vine Street Parking Lot.

From Waterbury and points west:

Take I-84 East. Take exit 27 to Route 691/66 East. Route 66 becomes Washington Street in Middletown. Turn right onto Vine Street/Rte. 3. Event parking is located at the Vine Street Parking Lot. (Please refer to the notice above for changed traffic conditions on Route 66/Washington Street.)

From Boston and points northeast

Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) West to Exit 9 for I-84 West to Hartford. Take exit 57 over the Charter Oak Bridge and follow the signs to I-91 South. Take I-91 south to exit 22 for Route 9 Southbound, At exit 15, turn right onto Route 66 West (Washington Street), turn left onto Vine Street/Rte. 3. Event parking is located at the Vine Street Parking Lot.

Or, take I-95 South through Providence, then take Exit 69 to Route 9 North (approximately 26 miles to Middletown). At exit 15, turn left onto Route 66 West (Washington Street), turn left onto Vine Street/Rte. 3. Event parking is located at the Vine Street Parking Lot.

BUS OR TRAIN:

The Peter Pan bus line (800-237-8747) stops in Middletown (runs Fridays and Sundays), with connections throughout the Northeast.

Metro North train line (800-638-7646) connects from New York to New Haven; the Peter Pan bus line connects from New Haven train station to Middletown.

Amtrak train service arrives and departs from Meriden, about eight miles from campus. Call 800-872-7245 for schedules.

AIR:

Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Windsor Locks, CT (approximately 40 minutes from campus).

TAXI:

Airport Express Taxi (860-623-5353 or 860-836-8294) charges $58 (for up to four people) for Bradley International Airport to Middletown or Middletown to Bradley International Airport.  Call for reservations and schedule.

Connecticut Limousine (800-472-5466) makes connections to JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark airports, departing from Hartford and New Haven and Four Points Sheraton, Meriden. Call for reservations and schedule.

Executive 2000 Taxi (800-801-0361 or 860-635-8222), a Middletown cab service, also makes connections to train stations and the airport.  Call for reservation. Charges: $63.60* to New Haven train station, $59* to Bradley International Airport, $42.40* to Hartford, metered rate around $25* to Meriden train station. Accepts all major credit cards.
