Thoreau's timely and appealing worldview continues to instruct and amaze.

Explore the life and legacy of Henry David Thoreau through a sampling of his writings and secondary sources. This course will consider the full range and impact of this thinker’s fresh worldview on his contemporary 19th-century community, as well as his continuing influence.
