A Hero’s Journey: Parzival or the Quest for the Grail

Parzival

The origins of a 'Hero's Quest' explored in this ancient tale of chivalry and love.

This medieval Germanic romance by the 13th-century knight-poet Wolfram von Eschenbach centers on the Arthurian hero Parzival ("Percival" in English) and his long quest for the Holy Grail. Through an in-depth look at this classic tale we will explore the themes of chivalry, love, heroism, and tolerance, all in the context of man's search for meaning.
