. . . Three, Two, One: A Journey to the Stars (and Back), a child-friendly class

This intergenerational course will introduce the planets and stars in the universe we call home: the Milky Way. Led by a team of astronomers and intergalactic experts, participants will become acquainted with our astral neighbors through a series of interactive lectures, exercises, and hands-on experiences with powerful telescopes and other devices that can offer up-close views not accessible to the average enthusiast. The extraordinary resources of the Talcott Mountain Science Center and Academy and the staff will provide a mind-expanding educational and entertaining experience for earthlings—children, must be vaccinated and accompanied by adults (parents, grandparents, or trusted guardians)—who wish to free themselves from the bonds of gravity for an out-of-this-world adventure. Parent(s), grandparent(s) or other trusted guardian(s), and up to two children (they must be vaccinated), may take this course.
