The specific controls on a 35mm camera can be mystifying to beginners. Upon finding your photographs less than satisfying or tiring of shooting in “AUTO,” you may  want to have a better understanding of the camera. This hands-on course will discuss basic photography concepts in depth, including camera settings; methods of controlling exposures to avoid blurry and out-of-focus pictures; the advantages of shooting in shutter priority and aperture priority; digital editing basics, and more. Time will be devoted to field work and in-class critiquing to help solidify photographic theory, explore compositional ideas, and gain familiarity with camera controls.
