Spring Break Almost Upon Us

It’s small consolation to those with a few mid-terms left to go, but in a week, Wesleyans will be departing for our March break. Not everyone hits the road, of course. Athletes in spring sports have plenty of practices and often some travel, and the men’s basketball team will be heading to the NCAA tournament after a first-class regular season. Those finishing theses (more about them soon) often stay on campus to revise, revise, revise…or plan the final dimensions of an exhibition or play. Many others will spend time with family and friends, taking a much-needed break before the final rush of the semester.

March is a tricky month in New England. From Foss Hill this morning at sunrise, the world seemed to be giving us a moment to breathe. We just had a glorious couple of days in the sun, and soon there will be some more winter weather. We will deal with it.

Whatever your March plans, I do hope you get some opportunity to recharge. We’ll have plenty to announce and to work on at the end of the month. I’m already looking forward to that spring rush!
