Basak Kus

Professor Kus obtained her PhD in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley. Her main areas of interest inclue political sociology, political economy, and sociology of law.

Prior to joining Wesleyan in 2012, Professor Kus held postdoctoral appointments at Princeton’s Niehaus Center for Globalization and Governance, and Yale’s MacMillan Center for International Studies. Between 2010 and 2012 she lived in Ireland, and taught political economy, sociology of markets, public policy, and research methods at the University College Dublin.
