Corrado Confalonieri


Corrado Confalonieri holds two doctoral degrees, a PhD in Romance Languages and Literatures (Harvard University, 2019) and a dottorato in Italian Literature and History of Italian Language (University of Padua, 2014), as well as a laurea triennale (BA) and a laurea specialistica (MA) from the University of Parma. His publications include the monograph Satura - titoli di un titolo. Montale dal 'recto' al 'verso' nel segno dei classici (UniNova, 2012), and a number of articles on topics spanning from the Renaissance to 20th century Italian literature. He has edited an anthology of Boiardo's works (Boiardo, Unicopli, 2018, with J.A. Cavallo) and a multidisciplinary book on teaching (Il mestiere d'insegnante, Unicopli, 2013, with A. Musetti). He has taught courses on Montale, Dante, the Renaissance, aesthetics, soccer, and popular culture, as well as courses in Italian language at all levels. He is currently preparing both dissertations for publication and researching a new project entitled "The Incarnation in Theology, Painting, and Poetry in Medieval and Renaissance Italy (1300-1600)". His main areas of expertise are the Italian Renaissance, 20th century Italian literature, intertextuality, and literary theory.
