Nancy Brown

Nancy Brown has enjoyed an expansive career playing supporting performances with Ray Charles, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Sergio Frankie, Frankie Valley and the Four Seasons and the Beach Boys.  Her diverse playing career has taken her to the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., Carnegie Hall as well as seeing the country touring with the National Company of Sugar Babies. She served as Lead Trumpet at the  Goodspeed Opera House for 23 years as well as Lead with their Broadway productions in New York City.  She was active in the recording industry in New York and filmed in the feature film, "If Ever I See You Again".

Additional experience includes, The Hartford, New Haven, Bridgeport and New Britain Symphonies. She served as Principal Trumpet in the Hartford Chamber Orchestra.  Nancy currently manages several chamber groups and musicals at the Long Wharf Theater in New Haven, CT.

Nancy has studied with Ronald Kutik, Alan Dean, and Carmine Caruso.  She has embraced the Caruso Method and carry's on his legacy in her teaching.  Brown, is a graduate of the Hartt College of Music and teaches at Wesleyan University, The Hartt Community Division and has been an instructor at the University of Connecticut Community Division.
