Rosemary Elizabeth Ostfeld

Dr. Ostfeld is an interdisciplinary environmental scientist. She completed a BA/MA in Biology and Earth and Environmental Sciences at Wesleyan University, an MPhil in Environmental Policy, and a PhD in Land Economy at the University of Cambridge as a Cambridge Trust Scholar. Her doctoral research focused on exploring the impact of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil, a multi-stakeholder initiative designed to improve environmental sustainability in the palm oil industry. Her postdoctoral research at the University of Cambridge focused on public attitudes related to climate change, renewable energy, and negative emission technologies in Scotland. She also completed postdoctoral research on healthy and environmentally sustainable diets in collaboration with the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health. Outside of her academic research, she has contributed to reports produced by the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and Carbon Disclosure Project. She is also volunteer for the National Academy of Sciences Science and Entertainment Exchange, and a National Geographic Explorer.
