Opening and gallery talk with curator Lucia Wang. This exhibition's prints from hand-tinted color lantern slides of the Chinese imperial gardens, palaces, and ritual centers in Beijing date from the 1930s, when the city was no longer China's capital and its old name—Northern Capital—had been replaced by "Beiping" or Northern Peace. The prints were in the collection of Henry Courtenay Fenn who used them in his lectures at Yale University where he led the creation of the Chinese Language Program. A luncheon buffet will be served.

The exhibition will be on display through Wednesday, May 10, 2017.

Closed Saturday, March 11 through Monday, March 27, 2017.
