Artist Talk: Virginia Hanusik

Virginia Hanusik will discuss her artistic practice and recent projects, including the documentation of Norwalk’s 125-acre Manresa Island, the site of a shuttered coal- and oil-fired power plant in the Long Island Sound.

Virginia Hanusik is an artist and writer whose work explores the relationship between landscape, culture, and the built environment, including visual narratives of climate change. Her work has been exhibited internationally and featured in The New Yorker, Aperture, National Geographic, British Journal of Photography, Places Journal, and The Atlantic, among others.
