Wesleyan’s College of Design and Engineering Studies (CoDES) presents a talk by Ashley Thrall, Myron and Rosemary Noble Collegiate Professor of Structural Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Notre Dame, “Kinetic Structures for a Resilient Future.” Thrall investigates the behavior, design, and optimization of kinetic civil infrastructure, using analytical, numerical, and experimental approaches. Her research involves kinetic civil infrastructure such as bridges, shelters, and buildings including modular systems that are rapidly moveable, erectable, and deployable.
