What We Do

  • We believe an equitable and inclusive education is transformative.
  • We act in a transparent manner, with respect for the knowledge and experience of others.
  • We selflessly serve and live our values together with students, staff, faculty, and other stakeholders to develop and support a community of inclusion.
  • We strive to eliminate bias and discrimination, eradicate barriers to opportunity and achievement.
  • We foster critical conversations and initiatives that promote equity, inclusion, and social justice on campus and beyond.
  • We believe in data informed processes and use Inquiry Based Research to guide our work.
  • We develop and support efforts to recruit, retain and develop a diverse faculty, staff and student body.

The Resource Center advances broad campus engagement with complex issues of identity, history, and cultures as they affect intellectual, creative, and social life.

Our Pathways to Inclusive Excellence programs aim to ensure all students thrive academically at Wesleyan and beyond through programs that work to eradicate socio-economic and racial disparities in higher education.

Our Title IX and Title VII Office works to eliminate discriminatory harassment or sexual misconduct at Wesleyan.  It also investigates complaints or notice related to discriminatory harassment, sex/gender bias, sexual misconduct and disability discrimination,  and makes sure that we are compliant with government regulations.
