Dear Parents and Families of the Class of 2028,
Hello from Middletown! Spring is in the air, and our students are gearing up for the excitement of finishing up their sophomore experience in college. As they prepare for the remainder of the academic year, there are some important dates of which to take note: the last day of class is Wednesday, May 6. Final exams begin on Tuesday, May 12 and end on Friday, May 15. University housing closes at 1p.m. on Saturday, May 16.
By now all second semester sophomores have selected a major and have been assigned a faculty major advisor. Students are currently participating in the course registration process for the fall semester; and, if they haven’t done so already, they should connect with their new faculty advisor(s) in their major(s) to make sure they are on track for successful completion of their major and degree.
If your student hasn’t finalized their summer plan, it’s not too late for them to connect with the Gordon Career Center to discuss summer internships or summer research opportunities. Your student might be interested in taking a summer course at Wesleyan. If so, please encourage them to take a look at the summer session calendar so that they can be aware of registration deadlines. Summer session is a great way for students to continue to explore Wesleyan’s curriculum.
We made it to the halfway mark in your student’s Wesleyan experience! It has been another great year of working with the class of 2028, and I am looking forward to welcoming them back in the fall. As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
William M. Bisese, Ed.D.
Dean, Class of 2028
