Department of Psychology Poster Session 2009

  • The Department of Psychology held a Poster Presentation April 23rd in Judd Hall.
  • Sarah Eldeman '09 explains her research on "Prosocial Behavior in Preschool Friendship Scores" to Scott Plous, Prof. of Psychology.
  • Graduate student Keera Bhandari talks to John Seamon, Prof. of Psychology and Prof. of Neuroscience and Behavior, about her study on preschoolers.
  • Graduate Student Barry Finder explains his study, "Nonproficient Counters Understand that Numbers Represent Sets"
  • Julia Leonard '11 explains her study, "Number Language and Number Concepts in Preschool Children"
  • David Baranger '10 talk about his research, "Does Learning Potential Predict Rehabilitation Outcome in Schizophrenia," to Barbara Juhasz, Assistant Prof. of Psychology

  • Annie Paladino '09 explains her research to Joe Bruno, Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost. Paladino's study was titled, "Children's Performance on Numerical Estimation Task: Identifying the Source of Change."

  • Miriam Krent '09 stands next to her poster titled, "A New Idea: An Exploration of Special Education in Jewish Day Schools."
  • Julia Zhao '10 explains her research titled, "Effect of Comt Polymorphism on Executive Function in Schizophrenia"
  • Post-doc Maria Schug explains her research to Ruth Striegel-Moore, Professor and Chair of Psychology
  • Graduate student Barry Finder '09 explains his research to John Harding '09 and Susan Carey, Professor of Psychology at Harvard University
  • Prof. Susan Carey was quite impressed with the students' poster presentations. Prof. Carey presented a colloquium talk later that evening.
  • Cathy Race, administrative assistant in the psychology department, and Prof. Ruth Striegel-Moore were proud of the efforts of all the efforts of the student presenters.
