Cardinal Conversations: Dynamics of Women Coaching Men -- A Coach’s Perspective and Discussion

Today our society is working to break down intersectionality barriers: gender, racial, sexual orientation, and others. Similar efforts in the sports arena have led to an increased awareness at the secondary, collegiate, and professional levels of gender roles in coaching. While news outlets report strides made recently in women overcoming other barriers in sports, work remains in reaching gender equality for women coaches in the gymnasium and on the field.

Wesleyan Athletics Advantage Program (A+) invites you to a discussion about gender roles in college coaching. We will be joined by Adjunct Professor of Physical Education and Head Men’s & Women’s Squash Coach, Shona Kerr.
