Wesleyan Private Lessons Teacher Julie Ribchinsky explores sadness, joy, and the traditions of both Yiddish music and Argentinian tango that connect the suites of Johann Sebastian Bach to the 1991 work Omaramor by Osvaldo Golijov in her performance of works for cello. She will also perform works by Ástor Piazzola, Carlos Gardel, and Ernest Bloch; and will be accompanied by pianist William Braun, and Wesleyan graduate student Vivian Deng on cello.
