Ethics in Society Project

Wesleyan's commitment to provide students with the skills necessary to think critically about ethical issues is increasingly important to realize in these complex times.  In order to enhance Wesleyan's ability to impart and enhance ethical reasoning skills, the Ethics in Society Project has been established. The Project's goal is to develop and foster teaching, scholarship, and institutional reflection on the ethical challenges that arise in our individual and collective lives. The primary aim of the Project will be to enable students to develop and defend ethical views of their own that can help them to live meaningful and responsible lives both while they are here at Wesleyan and beyond. To accomplish this goal, the Project will create and support interdisciplinary courses, fund faculty development, and sponsor programs in practical ethical reasoning across the curriculum.
