Ninth Annual Biophysical Retreat
Dr. Taekjip Ha, from the Department of Physics and Center for Biophysics and Computational Biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will be the Keynote speaker at the Ninth Annual Biophysics Retreat to be held at Wadsworth Mansion 421 Wadsorth Street, Middletown, CT on Thursday, September 18. He will present his seminar "Shedding Light on helicase mechanisms one molecule at a time" at 4:00 PM.

Tenure Track Faculty Positions in Biochemistry and Cell Biology
The Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions starting in Fall 2009.

Biochemistry: Candidates with interest and experience in using biochemical or molecular biophysics approaches including, but not limited to, single molecule fluorescence or mass spectrometry, to investigate significant questions in biology.

Cell Biology: Candidates with interest and experience investigating fundamental topics in molecular cell biology including, but not limited to, RNA structure/function, membrane biology, signal transduction, systems biology.
