…an ode (pronounced: one beat, two beat, three beat /ən oʊd/) is a one-woman show based on interviews with women about their experiences with menstruation and menopause. The title puns on periods (surprise, surprise) but also attempts to highlight the silence surrounding this topic, suggesting instead a more open dialogue. … an ode is an offering of sorts, an attempt to destigmatize, to bring humor, light, and clarity to a subject so often shrouded in shame. … an ode works to celebrate cycles and champion changes. … an ode is inclusive, not exclusive. … an ode understands periods and menopause as touching everyone, directly or indirectly.

…an ode was originally scheduled to be performed on Thursday, April 9, 2020 in the CFA Theater Studio, but was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
